DARWIN won this last year and though penalised for last week's Listed success at Fairyhouse he can complete the double. He had enough basic speed to see off the very speedy Russian Soul a week ago and this extra furlong is in his favour. Three of the last five winners have come from the younger age group so the selection's stablemate Michaelmas, who has competed at a high level throughout, shouldn't be discounted nor should Waltzing Matilda, who finished in front of him in the Jersey Stakes on only her third start. Eastern Rules likes the track and ran very well at Leopardstown last month on his return from a successful spell in Dubai but Ansgar is probably better over further.
