Verdict

David Wachman has won three of the five renewals and Independence Day will be fancied to add to the tally though he was beaten fair and square by PROMISED MONEY in a Listed contest at Tipperary. Eddie Lynam's filly hadn't done quite as well on soft ground and over an extra furlong earlier but she is extremely fast and, with track and conditions to her liking, can go in again. Ger Lyons has some quality youngsters this season and Bear Creek looked one of them at Naas where he started odds-on and landed a maiden in good style. Dolce Strega, who was five lengths behind, has won subsequently so the form looks strong.
