Verdict
Winning hurdler Gibraltar started favourite for a 1m5f handicap at Leopardstown earlier this month but found the trip too short. Willie Mullins also runs Maze Runner, who has some smart form over timber though mostly on testing ground, and course and distance winner Foveros, who returns after a long break and is another who could do with some rain. Monty's Way found stepping up to 2m1f at Killarney to his liking and, though 8lb higher, is greatly respected while KAZAKDARIA ran a cracker behind the prolific Earl Of Tyrone here earlier this month. The latter gets the nod though the yard is also represented by Dalton Highway, who has won the last two of these but not surprisingly has shot up the handicap. Run For Oscar is capable of a big run from this sort of mark while Dancila easily won a Down Royal maiden on Saturday.
