        Verdict

        Dark Shot’s yard sent out last year’s winner but the nine-year-old is on a long losing run. Triggered slips further down the weights and is eased in grade along with the consistent Good Earth, who won at Catterick last month. Danny Tudhope gets the leg-up on course and distance winner HAIL SEZER, who has run well in both starts since returning from a break and may be ready to strike again now. Cottam Lane has been running better than form figures would suggest and also has claims.
