Verdict

CROTCHET, three times a winner for Richard Fahey, has been narrowly beaten in both starts at Gowran where the soft ground hasn't been to her liking - she can gain her first success for Joseph O'Brien. Solar Wave followed a victory over 6f at Naas with a moderate effort over an extra furlong at Leopardstown but is better than that though was behind Innamorare last season and Gavin Cromwell's filly looks to be approaching her peak. Eastern Racer has won seven times and is still on a fair mark as is Atlas, who would be better on easier ground. The veteran Master Speaker ran a fine race in the Irish Lincolnshire and is well up to winning this at his best.
