Verdict

SPEAK IN COLOURS is the class-act here having been beaten narrowly by Mr Lupton on this track before running well behind Blue Point at Ascot last week. He has a penalty for beating Gordon Lord Byron here in August but won with a bit in hand and the latter, who won this in 2015, is unlikely to get much closer. Southern Horse, a triple winner on Dirt in Argentina, was having his first start for Jim Bolger when mid-division in last week's Wokingham and can be expected to improve while Flash Gordon is progressing nicely and stayed on behind So Perfect in a Naas Group 3 last month.
