In depth

Verdict

BLACK LOTUS makes most appeal of these, despite a 4lb rise for winning over course and distance a fortnight ago. Chris Wall’s filly beat Lady Of Shalott, who runs earlier on the card, and a big run from the latter would further boost confidence. Delph Crescent is not the most consistent but went close at Newcastle while Anythingtoday is back on a winning mark and gets a change of headgear. Gossip Column and Bobby K were both below their best on soft ground at Chester last time with the latter preferred over today’s trip. 4.15
