      Verdict

Crown Counsel had looked progressive before running a shocker at Haydock and he can surely do better than that. Hayley Turner, who rode him that day, has been booked for SHAMDARLEY and it's Michael Dods' charge who gets the vote despite a 9lb rise for his success over the C&D three weeks ago as he looked well ahead of the handicapper that day. Byrony won four times as a juvenile but finished last on her reappearance and is best watched. Chef looks the biggest threat as the Salisbury maiden winner made a very promising return to action in the lucrative Tattersalls Millions over 1m2f at Newmarket where the longer trip just appeared to catch him out.
