This looks wide-open but Society Lion is sure to be popular with punters as he was when a shade too keen on his reappearance at Newbury. Harrison Point began his career on Turf in the deep end with a ninth in the Britannia at Royal Ascot so could go well and Jumaira Bay produced a career-best over a mile here last month. Newmarket runner-up Magical Max has every chance if he lasts home and Good Night Mr Tom is worth a market check but the handicapper may have a grip on Mischief Star and Intrinsic Bond. Embolden looks the pick of Richard Fahey’s two runners but NEWBOLT has more scope. He gave 7lb and a beating to a well-regarded newcomer at Haydock last time and the third won at that track on Friday.
