In depth
Verdict
Mr Velocity can beat Queens Rhapsody and Digital, with Barathea Dreams not out of it either. Mr Velocity has found his form at the right time, having won two of his last three starts and looks set to run a big race again. Admittedly, Ed Vaughan's charge had gained his victories at Epsom and Musselburgh on better ground, but showed he can get his toe in when touched off by Sangiovese at Newbury recently. With champion apprentice Tom Queally on board, he is the one to beat. Queens Rhapsody is finding his form late in the season and may be placed along with Digital who has been on the go all season. Mick Channon's runner deserves some success and it would be no surprise if he were to be in the shake-up. Barathea Dreams will have the ground in his favour, and as he showed earlier in the campaign, he is a much better animal with give underfoot. However, Mr Velocity is the one to catch in the opener.
