Verdict
Wayward Melody, Blackchurch Mist and Charnwood Street look to be the principles in the opener and the vote is given to Blackchurch Mist. The selection was well beaten last time behind Hernandita, but that was a better race than this and she had previously won well when beating Lago Di Levico at Wincanton. A reproduction of that effort would see her go close and she is put forward as our selection. Wayward Melody rates the main danger as he has been in fair form of late, but he usually reserves his best efforts for when he is running at Fontwell and we are happy to take him on here. Charnwood Street is hard to recommend with any confidence as he has been well below his best of late. However, he is dropped in trip here and if that brings about some improvement then he could make the frame. Of the remainder, Johann De Vonnas is from a leading yard and is worth noting in the market, but for the winner we return to Blackchurch Mist.
