Verdict
Le Passing, Katiki and Lacdoudal are all shortlisted for this beginners' chase and the vote is given to Le Passing. The selection was beaten by a distance when third behind River City on his seasonal reappearance. However, he travelled well for a long way in that race and the indications were that he probably needed the run. The ground should be more to his liking here as well and he should take a good deal of beating. Katitki rates the main danger as he has shown plenty of decent form in his native France, and the market may well provide all the clues to his chances. Lacdoudal was a good second behind Sud Bleu last time out and there is no doubt that he will win his fair share of races this season. He will have no problems with the conditions and should again run his race. Mambo is the other worth a second look in the market but he may just need the run on his seasonal reappearance, and for the winner we return to Le Passing.
