    Verdict

Quicker ground will suit QUDWAH who is preferred to Oh So Spicy and Bahamian Jazz in a race with a fair bit of dead wood. Michael Jarvis has an excellent record at the track with his maidens ( won this race last year) and this Acclamation filly shaped nicely on debut at Newbury before flopping on the Roodee at Chester. This more conventional course will suit and with quick ground likely to suit this well-related filly can take top billing. Oh So Spicy looks the main danger after her excellent second on debut behind Dashing Beauty at Yarmouth. This cheap purchase is a half-sister to the yard's Oh So Saucy who is a fair handicapper and with the longer trip within her range she must go close. Shamarlane is well-bred and can improve but she has 12 lengths to find with the former, whilst Bilash and Clare Harrier are more exposed with the form of Reg Hollinshead's runner looking the stronger. Bahamian Jazz belied his odds with a much better run at Ripon last time and is not discounted if putting in a similar performance today, however an official rating of 77 flatters him, and with nothing else leaping off the page we return to Qudwah as a confident selection.
