In depth
Verdict
MIGHT BITE would have easily won the Grade 1 Kauto Star Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day had he got over the last. The eventual winner has franked the form since and Nicky Henderson’s novice is among the ante-post favourites for next month’s RSA Chase - he should be capable of giving 6lb to Ma du Fou if the fences don’t get in the way. Warren Greatrex’ charge has shown promise in all three starts over the larger obstacles but is up against a very smart novice here. Gorran Haven will be trying to complete in his own time.
