In depth

Verdict

With Godolphin in such magnificent form at the moment it could pay to side with Mansfield Park here, while Fantastic View and Oriental Warrior provide stiff opposition. The selection has a few pounds to find with Fantastic View on official ratings, but there was plenty to like about her seven length maiden win over seven furlongs at Redcar last time. She should take the step up in trip as a positive and with ground conditions again to suit she can produce what is need to take this. Fantastic View has not been seen since finishing a 13 length last of five to Haafhd in the Craven Stakes in April. Hailed as a potential Group One winner by Richard Hannon last year, he was "gutted" with that run in the Craven, and so we can only hope that he is over whatever problems beset him there, but he still has a bit to prove on the racecourse. Oriental Warrior looks the most interesting of the remainder. Marcus Tregoning's colt has not run since winning at Ascot last October, but he possesses plenty of ability and if he is fit to do himself justice after such a long absence then he could be the one to give the selection most to do, especially now he steps up in trip. But Godolphin are in flying form at present and they can have another winner here with Mansfield Park.
