In depth

Verdict

Northside Prince hasn't won since 2010 but usually tries his best. Beyond Conceit should be stronger this year and may be up to winning off his current mark while Fennell Bay will be looking to take advantage of his slide down the handicap. Man Of Plenty has more scope than both Franciscan and Bowdler's Magic but recent Polytrack winner Wyborne should be capable of further progress back on the Turf. Royal Peculiar appears to have developed a preference for the all-weather and EAGLE ROCK has been trying his luck over hurdles. But the latter ran some good races in better company than this on the Flat last season and Tom Tate's charge gets the speculative vote in a tough handicap to call.
