Verdict

It appears that Collier Hill has frightened away most of his opponents and he should be capable of seeing off an interesting hurdling debutante, in the shape of Mobasher. Collier Hill, a smart handicapper on the flat (winner off 89), he had little difficulty in landing the odds on his hurdling debut at Perth, admittedly beating inferior rivals but, he has the ability to go a long way at this game and with the recent rain very much in his favour, he should prove difficult to beat, despite having to give the weight away to a promising recruit to the jumping ranks, namely Mobasher. Now with Venetia Williams, the former Dermot Weld four-year-old was a more than useful performer in his native Ireland, bordering on Listed class. Effective on most types of ground he will ensure Collier Hill doesn't have things all his own way. Both Full House and Zigali look out of their depth here and Collier Hill is taken to see off Mobasher in what should prove to be a duel.
