Verdict

Little Eye can get the better of Celtic Heroine, The Job and Cartronageeraghlad in the opening event on the card. Little Eye can handle both the Fibresand and the Polytrack judged on his two latest efforts, the latest of which saw him finish second to Anuvasteel when stepped back up to a mile at Lingfield. John Best¿s juvenile is bred to stay further and will improve as a three-year-old. In the meantime he can open his account today in a race that will not take too much winning. Celtic Heroine has been confined to seven furlongs so far, and came good over that trip at Lingfield in October. She is a half-sister to Celtic Swing but is unlikely to emulate him. She should figure though as should The Job, who can improve for his victory in selling company, also at Lingfield, three weeks ago. Cartronageeraghlad was given the Fallon treatment when scoring at Doncaster the time before last. That win was over seven furlongs, while his other career victory gained here in June, came over a furlong shorter. There have to be doubts about him winning at this trip until he strengthens up next year, and with that in mind Little Eye may be the answer.
