Verdict
Remembrance looks the pick here ahead of Newtonian, Exit To Heaven and, possibly, Memories. The selection has been placed in better events than this on Lingfield's Polytrack and holds a very good chance on the basis of form. It's a little concerning that he is blinkered today, but he has been inclined to hang in the past and we would not be too concerned about their introduction. Newtonian was placed in a similar event over course and distance last time on his first run for a new trainer so comes strongly into the reckoning. Exit To Heaven stepped up on previous form when a good second at Wolverhampton last time. It was her first run for Gay Kelleway and she should improve for it and be thereabouts at the finish, although the stable's form is a concern. Memories is interesting in that he is by Theatrical and out of a mare that won in Ireland before running creditably at 10 furlongs in the USA. It would be no surprise to see him go well in a modest event. Hartshead has shown some promise on turf, while Senza Scrupoli showed some promise at up to a mile on Turf but the step up in trip is not certain to suit. Overall, though, we like the look of Remembrance.
