In depth

Verdict

Winter Bloom won impressively when last seen and whilst this is a step up in grade, Henry Cecil's charge gets the vote to win again at the main expense of Perfect Act and Relative Order. The selection comes here on the back of a win at Redcar and a slightly harsh mark of 80. That maiden was no great shakes but the handicapper obviously feels that there is plenty of scope for improvement, and she should run a big race on ground that suits. Perfect Act made a great start to her career with a smooth success at Newbury when coming from the rear to score comfortably. She goes for this race instead of a crack at the big sales race on Wednesday and must warrant plenty of respect. Huzzah continues to slowly improve with racing but is proving frustrating to follow so of more interest may be Relative Order. The form of his win has been franked by the second going close at York since and with more to come, John Best's charge should be respected. Kersaint has plenty of stamina in the pedigree but hasn't shaped as though she is quite ready for this step up in trip, and whilst Indian Days could go well with a confidence boosting win under his belt, we will side with Winter Bloom to score.
