In depth

Verdict

Blu Cavalier has been highly tried but has yet to win outside of novice company. Speed Company ran poorly at Ascot after winning at Chepstow but shouldn’t be written off just yet. Nayati is probably due a rest, however, and Red Tornado lacks a recent run. Curramore won well at Carlisle but the form hasn’t been franked and this is a much better race. SCARLET DRAGON (NAP) doesn’t handle soft going so wouldn’t want any rain but he is fine on good to soft and has the class to defy his big weight in this company. Irish Roe goes well here and will be all the better for her fifth at Haydock but Faro De Kerser might be a bigger danger if he jumps better than he did at Wetherby.
