Verdict

Tim Easterby’s stable is in excellent form and STORM AHEAD was only beaten half-a-length by the in-form Gurkha Friend at Ripon 10 days ago. He won off a higher mark a couple of years ago and has been gradually improving this year – his turn may have come around again. Flying North profited from an enterprising ride by Hollie Doyle at Lingfield last month but this looks a tougher assignment off a 6lb higher mark. Burrumbeet was well beaten on his Turf debut at Sandown but drops a grade for this. Welliesinthewater goes well here and receives weight all round so makes more appeal than Pastime and the returning Aljunood.
