Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Quite a few of these have already shown plenty of ability including Baie des Flamands, Finland and Gidam Gidam, and we will side with Finland. The selection is the most exposed runner in the field but has yet to run a bad race. After finishing second on his Market Rasen debut, he then contested a hot race at Wetherby won by The Pen before losing his maiden tag at Haydock. His recent third behind Aviation at Wetherby appears to be the strongest form on show and he looks the safest option. However Baie des Flamands has plenty of scope for improvement having scored on his only outing at Hereford. He only beat an average looking field but is open to plenty of improvement. Gidam Gidam ran second behind Astronomical on his Market Rasen debut and is another that should be capable of progression. Any money for the newcomers Linnet or Daldini should be heeded, but on this occasion we will stick with the form horse and that is Finland.
