In depth

Verdict

A decent looking novice chase that may fall to Chilling Place, Taranis and Kasthari are the obvious dangers. The Phillip Hobbs trained six-year-old made a winning start to his chasing career, beating Cornish Sett in game fashion. In two subsequent races he has come up against some top performers. Back in this slightly lesser company he can return to winning ways. Taranis was most impressive when beating Scamper at Newbury last month. He gets a hand age allowance here and has to be a major threat. Meanwhile Kasthari cannot be discounted having finished a close second to the potentially smart Billyvoddan at Huntington recently. It would be no surprise to see Go For Bust and Reel Missile also taking a hand in the outcome as well, but Chilling Place is expected to once again endorse his festival claims.
