Verdict

A number of non-achievers of late in this field but OMOKOROA does not fall into this category and we will take him to account for Spirit of Adjisa and Sweet Hollow. Mark Tompkins' charge landed a gamble in some style at Catterick last week and while that was not the strongest ever race to be staged at the North Yorkshire venue, this race does not look much tougher. Spirit Of Adjisa has plenty of ability though does not always consent to use it. She is surely capable of better than her recent showing on fast ground suggests. Sweet Hollow burnt the fingers of backers at Chepstow though as a first timer in handicaps, she¿ll have plenty of supporters. Similar comments applying to Alan Swinbank¿s Whirlijig. Scene Two was well held in a decent event at Lingfield on the polytrack and switches on to the turf for the first time tonight. Bavarian Nordic will be a big price though Ann Duffield has sent out a couple of winners of late and it would be no surprise to see put up a big show under top weight. Astronomical is better known over hurdles these days though ran an entirely creditable race over course and distance earlier in the month. Omokoroa gets our vote.
