Verdict

This is a competitive renewal of the Racing Post trophy and we will select JUKEBOX JURY over Masterofthehorse and Crowded House. Mark Johnston's colt is a smart performer and he has improved with each of his runs so far. He won a Group 2 race at Ascot last time and we will back him to improve again to win this. He also has trip and ground to suit. Masterofthehorse is trained by Aidan O'Brien and that in itself makes him a leading player here. He was turned over at the Curragh last time though and he may prove to be better over a slightly longer trip. Crowded House is stepped-up in class but he ran a blinder last time and his trainer thinks he could be a capable Group performer. Marching Time won well last time at Yarmouth and he should be suited by this step-up in trip. He is clearly a decent prospect but he will need to find plenty of improvement to win this. Similar comments would apply to Red Spider who was well-backed before making a winning debut at Kempton. This is a tough race, but Jukebox Jury looks a class act and he is the choice.
