Richard Hannon's PLUM PUDDING can complete a hat-trick of wins at the main expense of Welsh Emperor and Red Alert Day. The selection produced a career-best effort to win at Newmarket last time and he looks to be in rude health at present. He should be suited by this track and with the ground also in his favour he could be the value call. Welsh Emperor was last seen out in a Group 1 race in France so he has to be respected, but his best form is with plenty of give in the ground and for that reason we will take him on. Red Alert Day put in a below-par run last time and he does have a tendency to do that, but this slight drop in trip will suit and he has to be on the shortlist. Godolphin's Sirocco Breeze won well on his debut on soft ground at Leicester and he has to be of interest on his handicap debut. He does have more on his plate today, but this quicker ground could bring about some improvement and he could go well. Aviator and Kay Gee Be are others worthy of a mention, but for the winner we will stick with Plum Pudding.
