    Verdict

Motcomb Jam sets the form benchmark here having beaten Mac Hine here over two miles last time (Carrigafoyle held). Abzuson has failed to complete in two bumpers since winning a Hexham bumper last April. From Alan King's yard, Barbury Hill has shown little so far. Be My Friend was third to the well-regarded Enitsag at Bangor on his debut, showing promise although he was well beaten by the winner. Henrietta Knight's Glashedy Rock fell at Wincanton last time after showing promise on his debut at this track (and the fifth from that race has won well since). Handy Money's form is solid in the context of this race and he is another to consider. A first-time visor brought about improvement from High Peak last time but more will be needed here. Peterson's Cay has yet to live up to his home reputation despite some reasonable placed efforts. He did, however, suggest better was to come on his most-recent effort at Musselburgh when a staying fifth. Quainton Hills has claims back on this better ground but he does stay a lot further, while Henry Daly's Burdens Girl has yet to set the world alight. As the selection, we opt for Motcomb Jam, who can follow up his course win and land this near-two-and-a-half mile event.
