In depth

Verdict

Clondaw Pretender ran easily his best race so far when runner-up at Sedgefield last month. Wheesht improved on her hurdling debut when second at Fontwell but Robin Gold may be having a confidence-booster before resuming a career over fences. Royal Crown only weakened at the last when second at Taunton but this could be a good opportunity for GREGARIOUS, who runs over this longer trip for the first time since placed when 12lb higher at Fontwell a year ago. Maxime Tissier’s claim is a further plus.
