Verdict
The three to consider here look to be Bewleys Berry, Hot Weld and Romany Prince and the vote is given to Bewleys Berry. The selection will be suited by this step-up in trip having been beaten by Villon at Ayr last time. He has never raced on ground as firm as this but his trainer Howard Johnson thinks he could be top class and he is very difficult to oppose. Hot Weld is as tough as they come and he ran well last time behind Gold Medallist at Kempton. He will win his fair share of races but might not be able to handle the class of our selection here. Romany Prince ran in Group company on the flat and he has to be of interest here. However, he will need to be useful on his hurdling bow to win in this company and he is probably best watched. Indy Mood is in good form and is worth a second look in the market, but we will stick with the potentially smart Bewleys Berry as our idea of the winner.
