Verdict

Mulaaseq is a half-brother to five winners including the useful Leitrim House and is a newcomer to note in the betting along with Mulhaam, Karnage and Gothic Empire. Nortron ran well at Windsor in October and Cabelo was placed at York in the same month. Both of the latter pair could figure while better is also expected from Miracle Ninetynine this year having finished a modest fourth over a mile at Newbury on his latest start. But GURKHA FRIEND showed ability when placed in both outings last season and he gets the vote having finished behind a subsequent winner when beaten only a short-head in a blanket finish at York.
