Verdict

Yorkhill wound back the clock to record a 66/1 victory in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle, when Takingrisks was fourth and The Butcher Said sixth, but consistency is not a strong point. Give Me A Copper was only beaten half-a-length by Rocky's Treasure here seven week ago and is 4lb better off, though this is a better race and neither have much scope. Mister Malarky has been raised 6lb for winning a similar contest at Ascot but Cap Du Nord will be 3lb higher from next week with his second to Royale Pagaille at Kempton having been upgraded. There’s a big handicap in AYE RIGHT judged on his second in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury in November and a recent run in a jumpers’ bumper should have blown away the cobwebs so he gets the nod ahead of Rowland Meyrick winner Canelo and the novice One For The Team. Musical Slave could be a threat off bottom weight back over 3m and Boldmere is better than he’s shown so far this season and already a course and distance winner.
