Verdict

BARLEY missed an engagement here yesterday having beaten a subsequent winner over today’s trip in novice company at Nottingham. Martyn Meade’s colt should give a good account now handicapping. Outside World won a nursery over 6f at Goodwood last term while Tropez Power landed a handicap over a longer trip on the all-weather and is preferred to stablemate Ardbraccan. Papa Cocktail is another upped in distance having won over 7f last season while Cephalus rattled-up a four-timer on the all-weather over the winter but is upped in class.
