Verdict

It would be nice to think Carlito Brigante could return to his best but it's likely he's been aimed at the Plate and may be just short of peak fitness. Mr Cracker returned to winning ways with a strong performance at Listowel but a 7lb rise gives him a difficult task and runner-up Uncle Tom Cobley may be able to take his revenge. Johannisberger was nowhere near his best at Roscommon last time after an easy victory over the course and distance while Fever Pitch ran very well behind Miss Pepperpot at Killarney. Moon Dice hasn't had much experience which may be his downfall so a chance is taken with HE'S OUR MAN, who is just getting his act together over the bigger obstacles and was a close second over the track and trip last month when attempting to concede weight to the winner.
