Verdict

A better than average entry for this Grade 3 confined to fillies and mares though it will be a surprise if MORNING RUN loses her unbeaten record. Three times a bumper winner, she didn't have much to do to make a winning start over hurdles at Tipperary but did it well enough and is likely to be aiming high this season. She had Carrigmoorna Rock less then 2l behind when making a winning debut at Punchestown in May and she has done well over hurdles, finishing 4l in front of Hell Cat Maggie over 2m4f at Clonmel and sure to be better for her recent comeback. The latter has improved since and deserves her step-up in grade though the trip may prove on the short side. Izzini has been sent to England for all of his runs and has only been beaten twice in six starts, in the Festival Bumper at Cheltenham and when well clear and cantering when falling two out at Wetherby. The remainder will all need to do better but look capable of doing so in an interesting contest.
