Cheekpieces appeared to transform GLENDINE RIVER at Tramore and she may well defy a 9lb rise in the weights here if the aids work a second time. Pat's Pearl ran her best race so far when only beaten a short-head in a Tramore maiden but she’d been well beaten in a Fairyhouse handicap before that. Little Stampy was in decent form on the all-weather last month but her record over hurdles so far has left much to be desired while the going may be too fast for March’s Clonmel winner Strike Is Back.
