Verdict

Shanklys Dawn likes good ground, this trip and has won here. She bounced back to form after a several poor efforts at Tramore but has never won from a mark this high. Canadian Steel is 0-18 but ran easily his best race over fences when runner-up over the course and distance a couple of weeks ago when Maureen's Star was a long way behind. BLUE TEMPLAR completed a double over Punchestown's banks' course at the Festival. It's a long time since he ran in handicaps over fences but he's in such good heart that it will be a surprise if he can't complete a hat-trick.
