In depth

Verdict

Now The King made a very encouraging start when beaten a nose at Naas and was leading at this trip before caught in the closing stages over a mile on heavy going at the Curragh. Turbo Command showed very good pace over this trip on his debut before dropping back to 5f here last month and staying on strongly. AESOP started favourite in the race Wichita won at the Curragh and led in the early stages. With that under his belt he's taken to continue the good form of Jessica Harrington's youngsters though the stable also run Ocean Monarch, whose dam has produced winners with her first three foals to race. Thames River is a half-brother to Group 1 winner Barney Roy and a newcomer to note.
