In depth

Verdict

This looks much the better of the two divisions with many of the entries arriving after good runs including RAMBLING DANCER, who is on his highest-ever mark after an excellent reappearance behind Gracchus at Leopardstown but has two victories on Polytrack to his credit and generally strikes form at around this time of the year. Cloud Fire did very well to beat Headford Lady at Wexford and can go close despite an ordinary performance on her debut on the surface while Cullofane humped a big weight to victory at Naas last month and has run well here in the past. Trotting Weasel has run 22 times on turf without winning and his only success in 31 starts came here from exactly the same mark in 2008. Johnny Murtagh's presence in the saddle is a hint that his turn may not be far away.
