Verdict

Duke Of Waspington made his debut in a bumper a year ago but has looked more at home on this surface in his two starts over 1m4f. He had no answer to Uncle Henry last time but that was no disgrace. Lady De Vesci wasn't too far behind and, as that was her racecourse debut, she's entitled to come on for the run. Sir Danilo, who finished well back on his reappearance in that event, has had seven of his nine starts here and been placed in four of them but he's flattered to deceive on several occasions. The winner's yard is represented by Los Alamos, who won a bumper at Punchestown in May but hasn't progressed as expected over hurdles. Spiral Galaxy had been showing a bit of potential before finishing a close third in a claimer and has changed stables. SPRING GARDEN was making her handicap debut under a big weight when just run out of it by Captain Cullen here in December and looks the one to be on in a tricky maiden.
