CHARMING KID is a rare runner here for Richard Fahey and he's a long way clear on official ratings. It's fair to say he hasn't progressed as expected from his debut victory at York but he's raced in better company, including when beaten a length in a Fast Track Qualifier at Kempton earlier this month. Empire Line has had three runs here and improved with each one. He couldn't quite get to Roger That here earlier this month but it was another good effort and further progress is likely. Pass The Vino was very close behind in third and, as that was his first start since July, there's every chance he can reverse the form with the runner-up. That's Not Me won a course and distance maiden in November and started odds-on for a return visit the following month but couldn't hold Annabelle Rock, though that was over the minimum trip.
