BRIDLE PATH was having only her fourth start when landing a maiden over the track and trip last month. She had two rivals rated in the 60s around three lengths behind so a mark of 66 for her handicap debut could prove lenient. Zorba The Greek has shown much improved form over 1m2f on his last two starts so it's a surprise to see him dropping back in trip. Balmont Blast has run five times around here and won twice over the trip. He hasn't run since August and may just need the outing before heading back to Turf where he's better handicapped. Shark Island has been progressing slowly and was making his handicap debut behind Sister Slew last month. He will be suited by the extra furlong here while Corker Hill's last victory was from a higher mark at the Curragh last summer.
