        Verdict

        ALCOCK AND BROWN (NAP) was carrying a big weight when making a successful debut on the surface here last week and though stepping up in trip with a 7lb rise to contend with Andy Oliver has booked a 7lb claimer to reduce his burden and he can complete a quick double. The Ring Is King is only 1lb higher than his victory at Sligo in August and has won here in the past and though Attenzione was only fourth at Wolverhampton on Saturday he wasn't far off losing his maiden tag. Neither UK recruit Alert nor the veteran Bobskier have ever won on the surface nor has Esharaat though the latter went very close off tonight's mark in October.
