Dark Alliance has only ever won over 6f but made a very gallant attempt over this trip last time when just failing to concede 11lb to Appointment Only. He has a huge weight to carry again and faces a stiff task but should still get into the frame. Captain Midnight was in superb form on this track around this time a year ago but shot up the weights as a consequence and hasn't been seen since February. Approbare has dropped massively in the ratings but has yet to win in 17 starts while Balmont Blast's two track victories have been over a mile. SISTER SLEW pops up every now and then and this could be her day. She's possibly a couple of pounds high in the weights but regular pilot Robbie Downey gets on well with her and she has two course and distance victories to her credit. Deeds Not Words has never won since arriving from the UK and has been disappointing but the assessor has given her a chance and she could repay each-way support in a tricky contest.
