Ice Canyon's narrow defeat by Holistic Approach at the Curragh was given a boost when the third won next time and was a close second in a Group 3. Michael Halford's charge should be winning soon and the trainer should know how he stands with PENNSYLVANIA as Aidan O'Brien's charge was beaten by Halford's promising Saltonstall at Limerick. However, Ice Canyon doesn't look anywhere near that sort of class so the Ballydoyle colt looks the one to be on. He's joined here by stable companions Arizona State, who has a bit to find with the selection on collateral form but has plenty of potential, and Barca, who cost $900,000 and should do better over middle-distances. Desert Dancer has improved with every run and stayed on gamely when headed at the furlong pole last time so won't go down without a fight.
