In depth
Verdict
Not a great maiden and one that can be taken by Bint II Sultan, with Madam Caversfield, Emerald Penang and Flying Pass other worth a mention. The selection shaped with some promise over six furlongs on debut at Goodwood, running green before lengthening nicely when it was too late to win. Though the winner of that has since flopped, the runner-up has come out and won, so the form looks solid enough. This step up in trip will suit and she looks capable of making the necessary improvement to break her duck second time out. Madam Caverfield could give her most to do. Richard Hannon's filly looks well suited by the step up to this trip when second at Sandown last time and appreciates this sort of ground, so with more to come from her she can go close. Of the others, Emerald Penang steps up to seven furlongs after a decent effort over six at Yarmouth last time and with plenty of scope should also be thereabouts, while Flying Pass is another moving into uncharted territory and a reproduction of his Kempton outing a couple of starts ago would give her hopes of making the frame. For the winner though we will stick with Bint II Sultan.
