Soldier In Action won this last year and scored twice again later but hasn't been in that kind of form this term. His stable also run Star Of The East, who won the fifth race of his career when stepping up in trip at Chester for which he's up 4lb. Across The Stars has only won twice but ran his best race for some time when beaten a neck at York and would go close if repeating that run. DASH OF SPICE (NAP) has only had five starts, easily landing a Lingfield maiden in December before reappearing with a fine effort in the 1m2f City And Suburban here where he attempted to make all and stayed on strongly when headed. He didn't get the run of the race at Kempton last time and can make amends. Golden Wolf has run very well in his last two starts, both on this track, and looks best of the remainder.
