        Verdict

        Cieren Fallon’s claim takes a big chunk out of the 7lb THE LAMPLIGHTER was raised for winning at Goodwood. That was the four-year-old’s best-ever run on Turf and a quick double may be on the cards. Highland Acclaim and Zac Brown are in the veteran stage now for sprinters but the former goes well here and the latter is in good form. Cent Flying has been running well in better company and also goes on the shortlist while Swanton Blue is also respected but Brighton scorer Wiley Post has never won over this trip and Restless Rose has been a beaten favourite off this mark the last twice.

        Zac Brown (IRE) 5-2fav (10-2) Quickly away, led on rail, ridden and strongly pressed over 1f out, narrowly headed inside final furlong, rallied into 2nd again towards finish, 2nd of 6, nk behind Red Stripes (9-0) at Goodwood 5f hcp (5) gd in Aug.
