Verdict
Lord of The East can gain another course and distance success, with Franksalot and Captain Saif two main dangers. Lord of The East was given a great ride by David McCabe when beating subsequent dual-scorer Alchemist Master at Thirsk in June and since then has performed with credit since being dropped back to six furlongs, being placed twice here at Epsom. The step up another furlong in distance should see David Nicholls' five-year-old make a bold bid to gain his fifth course win, and as this is a claimer he has nothing to fear. Locally trained Franksalot goes well on these type of tracks, while Captain Saif has taken on far better company in the past so should be more than capable of making his presence felt. Lord of The East is very consistent though and gets the nod.
