Cape Royal can make the most of the weight that he receives from Fruit of Glory, with Dancing Mystery and Madrasee in with a chance as well. Cape Royal has not lived up to expectations yet, being a full-brother to, among others, Bishops Court and Astonished, but has improved with each of his two runs this term and is expected to go close. Lynda Ramsden's four-year-old did show a tendency to hang under pressure at Musselburgh last time but has the right man in the saddle here in Frankie Dettori. Others in with a shout as well include Fruit of Glory who gained her first racecourse victory here at Epsom when trained by Mick Channon, and has since won quite a few times, notably at Newmarket. She has had the sun on her back in Dubai, but will need the ground to firm up a bit to beat the selection. Dancing Mystery has been a grand servant to Eric Wheeler and is fit from the all-weather so is another to consider, while Madrasee, who has been on the go at Lingfield, is yet another that might find conditions too testing. Dandy Nichols has booked Kieren Fallon for Awake so he should not be left out of calculations, but Cape Royal is the pick in the opener.
